Photron launched two new high speed cameras at the
Image Technology and Equipment show in Tokyo, Japan. The Fastcam SA5 is the world's fastest high speed camera with a top speed in excess of one million frames per second (fps). The Fastcam SA2 is a high definition, high speed camera providing four mega pixel (2K x 2K) resolution at 1,000 fps, and 1080i to 2,000fps.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Fastcam SA4, the latest in its long line of mega pixel high speed cameras. Building upon the Emmy award winning success of the ultima APX and best selling ultima APX-RS motion analysis cameras, the Fastcam SA4 provides the convenience of the square 1K x 1K pixel format to 3,600 frames per second (fps), and reduced resolution to 500K fps, all with the convenience of a one microsecond global electronic shutter, independent of the frame rate selected.
The Fastcam SA1 is now available in Phase 2 configuration. Renamed the Fastcam SA1.1, this already excellent camera now offers improved speeds between the top mega pixel (1K x 1K) frame rate of 5,400 frames per second (fps) and the new top speed of 675,000 frames per second.
The multi head Fastcam MH4 from Photron provides superb light sensitivity from an unbelievable small package. Four camera heads, each less than 1.5” (35mm) square can be connected to the compact DC processor to enable easy high speed imaging in the most difficult to access and hostile environments
